The Sports Camp of the Municipality of Halandri in the summer season 2025 was used as a field of application for the implementation of a comprehensive educational program addressed to primary school students, which aimed at cultivating awareness about food waste as well as improving the sorting of food waste and the use of the Blue and Brown bins. The motivation for organizing this program was the observed lack of deep awareness on the part of the children of the value of food and, consequently, of the importance of avoiding unnecessary leftovers.
