Following the prior analysis of household consumption and waste of fruits and vegetables (carried out in PA No. 58-61), it is considered essential to update and monitor these results in the coming years. This is in order to design effective policies for the prevention and reduction of waste in Spanish households.
The ToNoWaste project emphasizes the importance of promoting sustainable practices through training and the dissemination of techniques for preservation and utilization. As part of this commitment, audiovisual educational materials are being developed (SOGRES MF Research Group Channel on YouTube) and courses are offered to broad segments of the population. These resources address the organoleptic properties of products, purchasing and consumption habits, and techniques to extend shelf life and maximize the use of fruits and vegetables.
