Perspektive Handel is a social institution that has set itself the task of operating supermarkets in Austria and thereby promoting the integration of people with placement barriers into the regular labour market.
The new phase of ToNoWaste activities in Austria builds on the September 2023 action aimed at reducing food waste in selected supermarkets and examines its practical impact. A tailored training programme for store staff was developed and integrated into internal onboarding processes to prepare employees for actively recruiting customers. During the recruitment phase, consumers were approached directly in-store, supported by a prize draw that helped increase participation.
