Following the first edition of the “Meet Our Partners – TONOWASTE Video Series”, this new set of interviews focuses on the practical actions, pilot experiences and solutions developed by several project partners to help reduce and prevent food waste, while addressing its environmental, social and economic impacts.

New Partner Spotlights
Cooperatives Agro-alimentàries de la Comunitat Valenciana
Cristina Martínez and Adrián Rubio, representatives of Cooperatives Agro-alimentàries de la Comunitat Valenciana (CACV), share their experience within the European TONOWASTE project and explain CACV’s contribution to the transition towards a more sustainable agri-food system.
In the interview, they highlight the organisation’s mission, its commitment to sustainability, and the strategies being applied to reduce food waste in agri-food cooperatives. They also present concrete actions implemented within the project, including solutions developed following the SOGRES-MF report, and reflect on the added value CACV brings to the European consortium.

CUINATUR
Félix Segarra and Mª José Antoni, representatives of CUINATUR, explain the organisation’s role in TONOWASTE and its contribution to building a more sustainable food system.
The interview focuses on the solutions implemented following the SOGRES-MF report, including the creation of a new logistics hub at the local market, which enables more efficient storage and distribution of products. CUINATUR also shares how innovative food preservation technologies are being incorporated to help reduce waste and improve the management of food resources.

EROSKI
The EROSKI video presents the pilot action developed within the TONOWASTE project, focused on the early detection of defects in potatoes using advanced sensing technologies.
This initiative aims to prevent food losses, improve the management of fresh produce and support the development of a more sustainable and circular food supply chain. Through this pilot, EROSKI contributes practical innovation to the project’s wider mission of reducing food waste across the agri-food system.

Municipality of Halandri
The Municipality of Halandri also takes part in this new round of TONOWASTE videos, sharing its perspective and contribution to the project’s work on food waste prevention and sustainable local practices.
Through its involvement, Halandri supports the project’s efforts to connect local action with broader European objectives, helping to promote more responsible, circular and waste-conscious approaches within communities.

Strengthening Collaboration Across the TONOWASTE Consortium
