Noela Pina

Project Manager of ToNoWaste project

With six years of experience in research projects, Noela Pina works as a project manager at Zenithwings. She is a PhD candidate in the University of Coimbra’s MITPortugal Doctoral program in Transport Systems and holds an MSc in Environmental Engineering. Additionally, she joined the CITTA research center in 2018. She has expertise leading European projects and directing the development of software solutions from her work as a Research and Development Specialist and Delivery Manager at Ubiwhere. Her primary research interests are in environmental issues and anthropogenic impacts. To this end, she has developed and applied simulation models to access emissions from anthropogenic activities and air quality dispersion at an urban scale, as well as worked with the LCA approach to access environmental impacts.

Stefan Loureiro

Project Engineer

Stefan Loureiro is the Project Engineer at Zenithwings. Stefan holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Higher Institute of Engineering of Coimbra with specialization in Software Development. As Project Engineer at Zenithwings, he has worked on R&D projects focused on requirements analysis, development, maintenance and implementation of innovative products and solutions in the areas of Precision Farming, Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things (IoT). In his professional path he also has experience as Software Engineer at Ubiwhere, where he had contact with IoT and the latest web technologies, being responsible for the requirements analysis and web design of applications, planning software, development, testing and implementation of final solutions for the areas of health/wellness, Agriculture 4.0 and Industry 4.0.

Rita Santiago

PMO and R&I Manager

Rita Santiago is the R&I Manager at Zenithwings. She holds a Master’s Degree in Computers and Telematics Engineering from the University of Aveiro. From July 2018 to July 2019, she worked as a researcher at the University of Aveiro on Smart Green Home’s Project. Her work was related to Machine Learning and Predictive Maintenance implementation on heating equipment. After 2019, as a software engineer, her experience is from software development (open data, data management APIs, open standards, and FIWARE technologies) to data science (Big Data and geolocation algorithms). Rita has also participated in the European Project RECLAIM, which aims to extend machinery lifetime while also improving productivity and performance. The project focuses on the Internet of Things (IoT), and circular economy strategies to improve predictive maintenance and upgrade legacy machines.

Ana Pereira

Communication and Dissemination Manager

Ana Pereira is the Communication and Dissemination Manager at Zenithwings. She holds a Master’s Degree in Physics Engineering from the University of Aveiro. From February to October 2019, she worked as a researcher at Raiz – Instituto de Investigação da Floresta e do Papel in projects related to paper quality improvement. After that, she worked as a researcher at the University of Aveiro where she aligned her work with her PhD in the area of materials and nanostructures. Currently, she works at Zenithwings, her first experience not directly related to research but still closely connected, where she is responsible for the communication and dissemination of R&I projects. In this field, she manages the dissemination activities of Zenithwings’s R&I projects. Throughout her journey, she has developed several communication and dissemination strategies for the R&I results, helping to drive their broad and lasting impact, defining KPIs and analysing the results of dissemination activities.
