The Universitat Politècnica de València has developed indicators to establish a baseline and measure the effectiveness of a pilot project aimed at reducing food waste in Mercavalència, assessing the quantity of lost and recovered food, involvement of social entities and wholesalers, and the impact on food donation and purchasing habits to inform and guide the food waste prevention strategy.
